Overview

The scheme was intended to promote new and innovative agri-business ventures, encourage private investment in agriculture, create employment and rural income, and strengthen farmers’ links with markets and value chains.

  • Agriculture graduates and agripreneurs

General areasUp to 26% of promoter equity or ₹50 lakh, whichever is lower
Eligible FPOs, North Eastern / hilly areasUp to 40% of promoter equity or ₹50 lakh, whichever is lower
Minimum project cost₹15 lakh (₹10 lakh for eligible hilly / North Eastern areas)

Conditions: the assistance was linked with a bank term loan and repayable per scheme conditions.
